Meet the owner
Tyler has been working on vehicles since childhood and has a deep-rooted passion for solving mechanical problems. He grew up as the neighborhood’s garage handyman, fixing the neighbors’ bicycles, vacuum cleaners, lawn mowers, and whatever else got thrown into the mix. After attending 2 semesters of college to be a mechanical engineer, plans changed back to the initial roots of solving real world problems with hand tools. Education continued at the Utah Valley University automotive program which has now blossomed into 11 years of professional automotive repair. Hobbies include dirt-biking, rock crawling, camping, short-track racing, and custom vehicle fabrication.
Where the business came from
911 Engine Diagnostics started in early 2023 in Kuna Idaho. After a decade of working for big and small shops, Tyler dove head-first into crafting a service based on honest morals. Our families are what matter at the end of the day, and our service is built around precisely that. Our goal is to get your family back on the road in a timely manner, without aimlessly throwing parts at the problem. We have the patience to test and pinpoint the components causing the failure. And we all know your car’s breakdown isn’t conveniently scheduled when you have time to take it to a shop, so we bring the repairs to your home, work, or grocery store!
After rapidly growing the business for three years, family reasons moved the business into the Salt Lake Valley. We have several partners and colleagues in this area who also work in the automotive industry. This allows for rapid networking, and in the event we don’t have the tools or expertise for your vehicle’s needs, we can refer you to someone who can help.
